Completion of the new New Bayswater POST's General Post Office

Sun, 20 Nov 2022 14:54:00 0800

New Bayswater has opened a General Post Office, the new home of New Bayswater POST and its postal service. A much needed utility for the citizens of the Commonwealth Of New Bayswater. And, since that storm a while back, the residents of Australia residing in and around the 6101 postcode may find the need to take a short trip to New Bayswater in order to satiate their postal desires.

New Bayswater POST is also commencing a trial program to combat the severe lack of artistic talent in the nations citizenry. The Commonwealth will be shipping sorely needed professional artists from nearby Australia in to the country on their brand new, and optimistically named, Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482). Australian artists will be granted a one month working visa and modest stipend to produce a set of limited edition postcards. Tourists visiting New Bayswater will thus be able to send messages to acquaintances back home, generating work for the postal industry, the backbone of New Bayswater’s fragile economy.

The post office will be open the following Sunday’s from 12-5pm:
08/01/2023
05/02/2023
12/03/2023
09/04/2023
07/05/2023

The New Bayswater postal service has been made possible with much needed foreign aid from the Western Australian Government’s Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.

CIOMA calls for submissions

Thu, 11 Nov 2021 06:14:39 0800

The Contemporary Institute of Modern Art in the heart of downtown New Bayswater is calling on international artists to submit works for it's upcoming Salon exhibition. The institute, famously smeared across space/time, seems unconcerned by the fact that the exhibition is only partially hung, stating that time is an illusion, and when you have come from the future and gone back, you realise that time is an illusion and all events exist in the universe simultaneously, so get off our back man.

Artists interested in submitting work should probably just bring it in some time and stick it on the wall. Works should fit within the 400mm x 900mm spaces within the gallery.

Some worry increased money production may result in rampant inflation, others simply enjoy the repetitive process of producing coins.

No one in the Commonwealth fully understands how the minting of real coins will affect the fake economy of a tiny nation hovering on the edge of unreality.

The new home of the embassy of the Commonwealth of New Bayswater, and the New Bayswater Department of Public Works has been completed on time and budget. Though they had neither a timeline or a budget, this is actually not a very impressive achievement.
